Svetlana Cameron is invited to participate in the WOMAN'S ESSENCE exhibition, a project officially recognized by Center for UNESCO Bologna as a 2020 project for excellence for gender equality, one of 17 goals of Agenda 2030 of United Nations.
The event representing contemporary women artists from over 30 counties was due to take place on 24-26 April. The new provisional dates are set for 5-7 June (to be confirmed)
Venue: Palazzo Torfanini Headquarter of the Center for UNESCO in Bologna.
SVETLANA TO PARTICIPATE IN NEWARTFEST IN SOCHI

Svetlana Cameron will be a Guest Speaker and teach a portrait workshop at the annual international art festival NEWARTFEST 2020. The event will take place on 1-4 October at the Sochi mountain resort, home to the Winter Olympics 2014.

Svetlana Cameron with NPS President Olga Abramova (left) and co-founder Elena Tatkina (right).On 13-16 December 2019 Svetlana Cameron was a special guest at the exhibition of the National Pastel Society of Russia, where she exhibited two of her portraits, taught a portrait drawing workshop, and delivered a talk as a Guest Speaker. The event which took place at the 'EXPOSED' Centre for Arts in Moscow showcased artworks by 65 pastel artists from Russia, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, UK, Finland, Belarus Kazakhstan and Turkey selected from around 500 submissions. Visitors enjoyed a varied programme of talks, lectures, demonstrations and workshops, and were offered an opportunity to explore new art materials at the Test Zone.
SVETLANA'S WORK ON THE COVER OF 'SPOTLIGHT' MAGAZINE (FRANCE)
A painting by Svetlana Cameron has been selected for the cover of the 17th edition of the 'SPOTLIGHT' Contemporary Art Magazine. Published in Lyon, France by the Circle Foundation of the Arts, the international magazine includes a unique selection of 65 artists from around the globe working in a variety of media.
Svetlana's artwork features a world-famous ballerina Natalia Osipova, a Principal of the Royal Ballet in London. Pastel on paper, 70x50 cm.

A&I Magazine December 2019 A 4-page interview with Svetlana Cameron has been published in the December issue of the Artists & Illustratots Magazine, the UK's best selling magazine for artists and art lovers.

PORTRAIT 'EMILIA' BECOMES FINALIST IN ARC INTERNATIONAL SALON (USA)

Svetlana's pastel portrait 'Emilia' has become a Finalist in the portrait category in the ARC 14th International Salon Competition - one of the most prestigious annual contests for realist painters. This year the ARC received over 4,300 entries from 73 countries.
'Emilia' is a privately commissioned portrait Svetlana created in her signature 3-colour technique for a family living in London.
All the winners and finalists will be published in the ARC Salon Competition Catalogue which will be co-published this year by ACC Art Books (formerly Antique Collector's Club) and ARC.

SVETLANA'S WORK IN NATIONAL TOURING EXHIBITION

Svetlana Cameron participated in a national exhibition hosted by two leading UK galleries, as part of the SGFA Centenary Touring Exhibition. On 3-18 May selected members of the British national drawing society displayed their works at the RBSA Gallery in Birmingham. Later the show moved to the Bankside Gallery in London where it was open to visitors from 3 to 16 June.

SGFA is the only national society in the UK dedicated exclusively to drawing. Founded in 1919, the Society celebrated its 100th anniversary by hosting a series of exhibitions and events. A special Centenary Book was published to mark the occasion - a beautiful hard cover featuring information on all of the current members and showcasing examples of their works. Two portraits by Svetlana are included in this prestigious historic publication.
SUCCESS IN CFA 'ARTIST OF THE YEAR' COMPETITIONJanuary 2019
In January 2019 Svetlana Cameron became a Finalist in the 'Artist of the Year' competition hosted by the Circle Foundation for the Arts (France).

PORTRAIT OF GENERAL SIR TIMOTHY GRANVILLE-CHAPMAN, MASTER GUNNER ST JAMES'S PARK UNVEILED AT ROYAL REGIMENT OF ARTILLERY
Svetlana Cameron has unveiled the official portrait of General Sir Timothy Granville-Chapman, the 31st Master Gunner St James’s Park. The event took place at the Royal Artillery building in Larkhill, Wiltshire, and was attended by nearly 100 guests.
The Master Gunner, whose appointment is approved by the Queen, is the link to the Regiment, presiding in conjunction with other senior members of the Regiment over regimental affairs and maintaining the Captain-General’s links to Commonwealth Artilleries.
The portrait records the tenure (2008–2017) of the 31st Master Gunner St James’s Park, a line unbroken since 1678. He is portrayed in a General officer’s frock coat wearing the mantle and collar of a Knight Grand Cross of the British Empire (GBE) and the neck decoration of a Knight Commander of the Bath (KCB).
Commissioned by the Royal Artillery Institution, the portrait is placed alongside portraits of Master Gunners that have been done over the centuries. It now hangs in the Regiment’s spiritual and professional home in Larkhill, Wiltshire, UK.
PORTRAIT 'SOFIA' WINS IN THE 'STROKES OF GENIUS' INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION (

Pastel portrait 'Sofia' became one of the winning artworks in the international 'Strokes of Genius' competition with the theme of 'Inspiring subjects' held by the North Light Books publisher in the USA.
The successful artwork is now included in the 10th volume of the 'Strokes of Genius - the Best of Drawing', a hardcover book featuring the best examples of contemporary drawing from around the world.

EXHIBITION AT GENESIS GALLERY, ISLE OF MAN
Svetlana Cameron exhibited a selection of recent portraits in a solo event at the Genesis Gallery on the Isle of Man.
The exhibition attracted a wide audience and was attended by Chief Minister Howard Quayle, President of Tynwald Steve Rodan, invited guests and members of the public.

EXHIBITION AT THE CHARITY BALL IN AID OF CHILDREN'S HOSPICE

On 11 November Svetlana Cameron was a special guest at the charity ball hosted by the Hospice IOM at the Villa Marina in Douglas.
An exhibition of Svetlana's original artworks was displayed at the Colonnade Suite during VIP reception. Guests included Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man Sir Richard Gozney, President of Tynwald Hon Steve Rodan, Chief Minister of the Isle of Man Howard Quayle.
EVENING OF MUSIC AND POETRY AT REFORM CLUB, LONDON

On 5 October Svetlana Cameron was a special guest at the "Pineapples in Champagne" evening of music and poetry hosted by Gift of Life charity at the prestigious private Reform Club in Pall Mall, London. The VIP guests included famous Russian stage and film actor Sergey Bezrukov, film director Anna Matison and the Ambassador of Russian Federation Dr Alexander Yakovenko. Attended by 120 guests, the evening raised over £80.000, all of which was used to fund medication and treatments for children suffering from cancer.
Svetlana's two-part auction lot raised £22.000, of which £10.000 was paid for a portrait drawing of Natalia Osipova, Principal of Royal Ballet unveiled by Svetlana earlier that year. An additional sum of £12.000 was raised from sale of an opportunity to commission a head-and-shoulder child portrait in pastels by Svetlana.

Artist Svetlana Cameron unveiled two pastel portraits of the world-famous ballerina Natalia Osipova, a Principal of Royal Ballet in London. The unveiling event took place on 4 July 2017 at the Sophia Contemporary gallery in Mayfair, London.
One of the portraits will become part of Svetlana's and Natalia's joint charity lot which will be auctioned on 5 October 2017 at the Gift of Life event to raise funds for children suffering from cancer.

A solo exhibition of classical portraits by Svetlana Cameron took place between 14 and 31 October 2016 at the Russian Culture House in Kensington, London. Sponsored by Knox Private Office, the show featured 30 portraits borrowed from public and private collections.
The event provided a unique opportunity to view the largest number of Svetlana's works ever gathered together in London. The exhibition Private View was attended by many distinguished guests, including senior politicians, foreign diplomats, and representatives of the Russian and British business elite.

On 24 April 2012 Svetlana Cameron has unveiled her portrait of the former Chief Minister and Speaker of the House of Keys.
The painting of Tony Brown OBE was commissioned by the Office of the Clerk of Tynwald and will sit permanently in the Speakers' Gallery in Isle of Man Parliament.

A portrait of the retired Michael MHK David Cannan was unveiled in the House of Keys chamber on 11 October 2011.
Mr Cannan, who served as the Speaker of the House of Keys between 2000 and 2001, has become the 11th Speaker to be honoured in this way.
Speaking about the commission Svetlana said: "It was a great honour to have been invited to paint an official portrait for the Manx Parliament. The project required much research and time spent in the House of Keys chamber and I was delighted to have had this unique opportunity to learn about Tynwald, its procedures and history".
